1. About this app
Faith Fusion Companion ("the App") is a free tool provided as-is by faithfusion.ca, SIMPI, and Rachelle VanRyssen ("the Providers") to help you record, transcribe, organize and share notes, meetings, voice clips, and sketches.
2. No warranty
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, reliability, security, or non-infringement. The Providers do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
3. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, faithfusion.ca, SIMPI, Rachelle VanRyssen, and their officers, employees, contractors, partners, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of notes, loss of audio, loss of revenue, loss of profits, loss of goodwill, business interruption, or any other intangible losses, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the App, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
4. Data loss & backups
Notes, meetings, and sketches are stored locally on your device. Audio files are stored in cloud storage. You are solely responsible for backing up your data. Use the Export Backup button in the Library tab regularly. The Providers are not responsible for any loss, deletion, corruption, or unrecoverability of data — whether caused by device failure, browser data clearing, software bugs, service outages, account termination, or any other cause.
5. Security & unauthorized access
While the App uses industry-standard authentication and storage protections, no system is 100% secure. The Providers are not liable for any unauthorized access, hacking, breach, interception, theft, leak, or disclosure of your account, content, or personal information. You are responsible for keeping your password and device secure.
6. Privacy
The App stores your email and authentication information to operate your account. Notes, meetings, and sketches stay on your device. Audio you record or generate is uploaded to private user-scoped storage. Audio is sent to third-party services (transcription, text-to-speech) for processing — by using these features you consent to that processing. The Providers do not sell your personal data.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the App to record, store, or share any content that is unlawful, harassing, defamatory, infringing, obscene, or that violates the rights or privacy of any person. You are solely responsible for the content you create, upload, and share, and for obtaining any necessary consents (including consent to record audio) under the laws applicable to you.
8. Third-party services
The App integrates third-party services (cloud hosting, AI transcription, text-to-speech, calendar export). The Providers are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or conduct of any third-party service.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless faithfusion.ca, SIMPI, Rachelle VanRyssen, and their affiliates from any claim, demand, loss or damages, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of your use of the App, your content, or your violation of these terms.
10. Changes & termination
The Providers may modify, suspend, or discontinue the App or these terms at any time without notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict of laws. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Ontario, Canada.
